How Do You Keep Moving Forward?

I am sure you have heard people say, “We live in uncertain times,” or “Who knows what tomorrow looks like.” Then later on while watching the news, something happens such as the President getting Coronavirus, or Murder Hornets becoming a thing that exists?
In the midst of this, how do you keep moving forward when you're worrying about not getting sick, making up for money you are no longer seeing due to Covid-19, or who will be guiding the future of our country as president, and how will they lead? Because I don’t know about you, but even though we have been dealing with this for months, I am still shaken. If you can relate, you probably feel like there are some days where it’s impossible to move the mountain in front of you. But here is the beautiful thing—we don’t have to do it alone.
In Matthew 17:20 (ESV), Jesus says, “For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.”
No matter if you feel like you are ready to throw in the towel or crawl into a box and never come out, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can press on—not because of your strength, but because of the God you’ve placed your faith in. You are not alone, and your story will not end in defeat to 2020, because nothing can stop our unstoppable God. (If you need an anthem for your week, check out “Unstoppable God” by Sanctus Real!)
My challenge for you today is to practice gratitude. Think about three things you are thankful for in the midst of the craziness that is 2020. You can pull out a piece of paper from home or purchase a gratitude journal from the store, but this will help you to remember there is something good working in your life. Also, remember to have faith that with God on your side, nothing is impossible!
